Greetings!

This is a "not ready for prime time" first edition of eGraceNotes, sent to a few folks to review. Your comments are welcome, but even more welcome will be articles for inclusion in future editions of eGraceNotes.

  • Rumors of Our Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated
  • Four months ago, Grace went through a "darkest hour," suddenly bereft of both Rector and Vestry, facing prospects as stark and bleak as the landscape outside.

Now that landscape shimmers with the delicate glowing colors of springtime, and so it is with Grace Church. A feeling of hope is appearing--hope that we are emerging from near-extinction into new life. Thanks to God's help and that from our Diocesan family, we are undergoing revival.

The process is well underway, but "the best beginning is only a start." I encourage you to continue, and if possible, expand your contribution to Grace. We still have a long way to go, but the longer we do go, the easier the remaining path becomes.

  • Greetings from Fr. Howard
  • My Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ:

I greet you in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and thank you for accepting me to conduct worship each Sunday as your Priest-in-Charge. I also thank you for your support, as evidenced by your attendance at worship, as well as your advice, suggestions and comments regarding the services. I look forward to your continuing support.

Had the Lord not been on our side, where would we be today? Surely His goodness and mercy have followed, and will continue to follow, this congregation as you encounter various tests and challenges that will defy your faith. Be of good cheer; the Lord is with you!

We thank God for those who have joined our efforts to preserve the life of Grace Church. Please join me in expressing our profound gratitude to Bishop Price, the clergy and congregations of the Cincinnati West Deanery and others, for their support to the life of this Parish.

Grace Church, you are marching in the light of God! Continue on that march, knowing that the race goes not to the swift, but to those who endure to the end.

God bless you, and do have a blessed Easter. I look forward to meeting all of you at the Cross, and subsequently rejoicing together at the feast of the Resurrection.
