It's Payback Time--Let's Help Paint a Church

Fr. John Bower is now the Interim Vicar at St. Mary Magdalene in Maineville and they need our help.  This Saturday, May 17, beginning at 9:00 am they are going to repaint their sanctuary and are asking for volunteers from Grace to help.

If you can assist, let Jim Edgy know.  Let's pay Fr. John back for some of the good he left with us.
Open HouseVicar's Open House

You are invited to attend an Open House at the Vicar's home on Sunday May 25, from 2 to 5 pm.  See her address in Sunday's bulletin, or contact the office at the phone or email given above.
Cloth Shopping BagsNo More Shopping Bag Orders, Please

Barbara Todd thanks everyone who ordered cloth shopping bags and made contributions to the Rector's discretionary fund.  The response has been fantastic! She now has enough orders to keep her busy for the foreseeable future, so she's taking no new orders at this time.

We thank Barbara for this generous way of supporting the Vicar's Discretionary Fund.
Join the Parade

Pride ParadePlan to join others who are representing Grace Church in this year's Pride Parade on June 15 after the 10:00 am service.

Mother Paula Jackson, Rector of The Church of Our Savior in Mt. Auburn is being honored as one of the parade marshals.  In support of her and as a major outreach to the gay/lesbian communities, we and other churches will form a "human float" to march behind her in the parade.

The parade begins in Burnet Woods in Clifton and ends at Hoffner Park in Northside.  For those who are unable to walk that distance, rides will be provided.

This is going to be a fun, colorful, exciting event.  If you can walk, please see Jim Edgy or Laura Hall--Grace's representatives on the planning committee.
More Opportunities to Walk

Here are two more opportunities to walk that may interest you.

If interested, see brochures outside the office doors, or click on the links above.

Yard Sale at Grace Saturday

Queen City Rainbow Band LogoThe Queen City Rainbow Band, which practices at Grace every week and which provided the great music for our Christmas party, is having a yard sale this Saturday in our parking lot.  At the sale, you'll find small appliances, kitchen items, some clothing, household decorations and all the other things you normally see at yard sales.

The sale starts at 8:30 am, so you may have to get up early to get the best deals.

Profits will go to The Queen City Rainbow Band to help purchase new music, pay rent and insurance and fund out-of-town trips.
Greta Kappes

Gretta Kappes is with her daughter in Michigan.  If you would like to send her a card, we have her address in the office.

Stewardship Conference Coming Up

The Diocesan  Stewardship Conference will be held on June 14 at the Procter Conference Center.  If you're interested in attending, please see Roger Perna.
Mission Trip to New Orleans

A mission trip to New Orleans to assist rebuilding will take place December 14 to 20.  Housing will be provided but individuals must assume cost of portion of transportation, food, and personal items.

If you are interested, talk with the Vicar.
