Thanks ...
If we thanked everyone who made Grace Church possible last week, the list would really be quite long. That would include the wardens, Mission Council Members, Mission & Formation Team Leaders, all those involved in preparing and conducting our worship services, and those who worked with the parolees Thursday. But who should we be calling out to thank for their special contribution? Let us know by sending an email to eGraceNotes@GraceCollegeHill.org. |

Decorate the Church with Flowers for Easter
Putting flowers in church are one way to join in the celebration of New Life on Easter. For Easter, extra flowers will be put on the main altar and the peace chapel altar. We also will put Easter lilies and other spring flowers around the baptismal font. What a change this will be from the spare greens we've been using during Lent! You can donate flowers in memory or in honor of someone. Suggested donations for spring flowers are $12 and for the altar flowers is $25 to $50. However, any donation is welcome. You can make your donation by signing up the flower sheet near the upper Belmont door entrance, or by calling the church office (513-541-2415), or by going to our website to make an online donation.

A Note from Fr. Bob About Getting Ready for Easter
This Sunday, we begin our journey in earnest to Jerusalem and beyond. Our Lenten strivings are beginning to see their fruition and we can look ahead to the Easter Glory. Our spectacular spring weather, the flowers in bloom, all are a Lenten foretaste of what awaits us as we soon will celebrate restoration, renewal, resurrection. Only two more weeks and the ascent to the Holy City will be complete. At the Convent, we have a picture in the hallway by our Oratory which comes from the medieval Eastern Church--St. John Climacus' Ladder of Ascent. It shows the People of God climbing a ladder to the Kingdom. It is a hard trip up the ladder with little demons trying to push the faithful off and preventing their ascent. But many strive forward and in the end are greeted by the Risen Lord and allowed to enter in. Will that be us? Hopefully, yes--if we are soldiers of Christ fighting our own personal demons and striving for the good. It's time to get ready for Holy Week. Time to clear our calendars and our lives of all that clutters them and make room for Jesus--to make room to share Holy Week with Him. Can you free up Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter and be with Jesus at Holy Communion in the Church? Can you walk the Way of the Cross with Him? There can truly be no Easter if we do not participate in the time of Passion and Death. So plan to be at Grace on these great Holy Days. Be with Him as He enters into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, as he washes the feet of the disciples and breaks bread with them on Maundy Thursday, as He dies on the Cross on Good Friday. Your Easter will be blessed by your partaking in the discipline of Holy Week. These are the great days of our faith--let us be present and rejoice in the joy of Our Lord.

Support Asked to Stop War Criminal Joseph Kony
During a recent Snack 'n Chat, David Mukasa asked Grace members and friends to support the Kony2012 effort to arrest war criminal Joseph Kony and to disarm the Lord's Resistance Army and to bring the child soldiers and slaves home again. You can see one of the most-watched internet films and learn more about this effort at kony2012.com.
