Grace Bids Goodbye to Chuck Bowles Sunday

Absalom JonesChuck Bowles will be honored Sunday with a farewell lunch following a special 10 am worship service. Chuck and Harold have finally sold their home in Cincinnati and are now able to make their long-awaited move to Atlanta.

Junior Warden Wanda Miller says that we will be having a special farewell litany at the end of the 10 am service. The lunch food includes grilled ribs, hamburgers, and chicken prepared by David Mukasa. The rest is a picnic-style food pot luck.

Join with other friends to wish them the best on their journey.

Last Week's Healing Service Was Special

Last week's Wednesday night Celebration of Wholeness and Healing created some email buzz.  Here are some of the responses to what was a special experience for those present.

Dear Loved Ones,

I loved the service last night.  It was truly a love filled celebration of wholeness and healing. The drumming and flutes were inspired. It seemed like healing was taking place all over the church!

There were almost as many of us at Grace as were there on Sunday morning for the Easter service! The flow of people coming and going throughout the evening astounded me.  Every time I looked around, an old friend and even my daughter would appear! Thank you so much for making it happen!!!!

Several of you asked me last night for a copy of my homily.  It's now on the web here:  http://gracecollegehill.blogspot.com/2012/04/jesus-is.html.
Feel free to share it.

Blessings to you all - Hawley

And....

I say, "That was a small taste of the Unconditional Love offered to us by
our Creator".   That's my opinion, and I'm stickin' to it!!    :o)

It was WONDERFUL!!  Being there for the healing and drumming is always wonderful.  It raises the vibration of our little planet and her inhabitants.    I am so grateful that Gary told me about it and suggested that I might like to be there for that.

Wouldn't it have been amazing to have one of those camera things going that can photograph Energy and see what we had going on!?!?!?!

Blessings, Gwynne

And....

I agree.  Last night was definitely special.  I kept finding myself stepping back and just taking it in - almost as if I couldn't exactly put my finger on why it felt different to me.

I too am grateful that I have found this amazing place filled with such kind, accepting, loving people.  Thank you.

Bob Laake - thanks for telling me about Grace!

Donna

And....

It was magical ... the whole night was!!!! Love and Hugs,
Teri

Grace's Celebration of Wholeness and Healing takes place the second Wednesday of every month. Drumming starts at 6:30 pm; a short formal healing service takes place about 7pm. The rest of the night is just healing. Read more about healing at Grace here

Every Sunday worship service at Grace offers individual prayers for healing at the Peace Chapel rail in the church. Most Sundays, healing is offered during the regular Eucharist/Communion service. One Sunday a month is a Celebration of Wholeness and Healing using a liturgy adapted from the Irish Book of Common Prayer.

Pictures in this article are from previous healing services. See more pictures of previous healing services here.
Thank You Very MuchThanks ...

...  to all the people who are preparing for our special "do" this Sunday.

Think about the others who should thanked.  Then send an email to eGraceNotes@GraceCollegeHill.org
